School Supplies Distribution for Syrian Orphans in Lebanon – Kuramaa 2025

As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts, Kuramaa Organization, in collaboration with the World Assembly of Muslim Youth, launched a school supplies distribution initiative for the 2025 academic year. This initiative targeted 120 displaced Syrian orphan students in Lebanon, aiming to equip them with the necessary tools to begin their school year with confidence. This effort falls under Kuramaa’s Education & Learning Program, designed to empower orphans and widowed families.

Why School Supplies Matter for Orphans

Distributing school supplies goes beyond providing notebooks and pens—it’s a powerful message of care, dignity, and support. For orphaned children living in displacement, receiving a school bag full of essentials such as notebooks, pens, drawing tools, and stationery renews their motivation to learn and assures them that their future matters.

This initiative directly supports Kuramaa’s vision of rebuilding war-affected families by offering access to safe, stable, and dignified educational opportunities.

Education as a Path to Empowerment

At Kuramaa, we believe that education is the most effective tool for transformation. Through our school supplies distribution, we eliminate a financial burden that often prevents children from attending school. By doing so, we create a gateway for consistent learning and long-term personal growth.

This action is part of Kuramaa’s broader mission through its Educational Sponsorship and University Education Programs, supporting orphans from early education through to university graduation, helping them become leaders and contributors in their communities.

Supporting Widowed Mothers and Their Children

In Lebanon, where economic conditions are deteriorating, Syrian widows face immense challenges in providing for their children—especially at the start of the school year. Kuramaa’s initiative helps relieve some of that pressure by ensuring their children have what they need to succeed in school.

This is aligned with Kuramaa’s core objective: to support widowed mothers not only through material aid but also through vocational training, psychological support, and community-based empowerment programs.

Psychological and Social Impact

Studies show that receiving school supplies can significantly boost a child’s self-confidence, increase school attendance, and reduce the feeling of being left behind. That’s exactly what Kuramaa aimed to achieve through this campaign.

By providing high-quality school materials, we remind every child that they are not alone, and that there are people who believe in their potential, no matter how difficult their circumstances may be.
